Open the main menu to navigate to the "Secure Chat" screen. The “Secure Chat” button also indicates the number of unread and total secure chats in the format Unread/Total. Secure chats are private, off the record messages for securely communicating with other doctors and medical practitioners within your team that also use MyTeleMed. Tapping on a secure chat from this screen will access the full chat history where you can reply to the last secure chat in that thread.

Compose a New Secure Chat

To compose a new Secure Chat, tap the icon (iPhone=Android=) found the bottom-right corner. To select a recipient(s) for your secure chat, tap the “Select Participants” field and select one or more individuals from the list. Then tap the “Enter Message” field to add text, and press the icon (iPhone= Android=) to deliver your secure chat.

Secure Chat Detail

Tapping on a secure chat will display the Secure Chat Detail screen, and change the status of the chat to read. Chats are displayed in ascending order from time received. To reply to a secure chat tap the “Enter Message” field to add text, and press the icon (iPhone= Android=)  to deliver your reply.

Deleting Secure Chats

iPhone Users: To delete one or more secure chats simultaneously from your Secure Chat list, press the “Edit” button in the top-right corner. Select the secure chats you want to delete and then press “Delete” at the bottom of the screen.

Android Users: To delete one or more secure simultaneously from your Secure Chat list, press and hold a secure chat to select it for deletion. Select additional secure chats by tapping them, then press the icon in the top-right corner to delete them.
